Who Are We
CPRE Shropshire is a county branch of the national charity, the Countryside Charity.
We are an independent charity supported by the resources and guidance of CPRE's national office in London.
Our aim is to promote the beauty, tranquillity and diversity of Shropshire's landscape by encouraging environmentally sustainable use of land and other resources in the county's towns and countryside.
We campaign for our beautiful landscape and work to protect, promote and enhance our towns and countryside.
The effects of relentless growth over time are graphically shown in CPRE Shropshire PDF and Powerpoint presentations about the growth of the town of Shrewsbury. .
2025 marks the 77th anniversary of CPRE's work in Shropshire.
